Year 6

We recently visited The Collection at Lincoln, the museum of archaeology, where we donned our white coats for an autopsy session led by Dr Erik Grigg and examined the objects buried with an Anglo-Saxon man and woman. Then it was our turn to dress as Anglo-Saxons before looking more closely at the artefacts on display and thinking which were the must-see objects.
Year 6 have been researching Anglo-Saxon buildings, making written and verbal presentations as well as choosing to make models as part of their homework. We had posters, booklets, estate agent's details, Minecraft houses, video and Powerpoint presentations, chocolate houses and a gingerbread church to enjoy. Word soon spread and year 5 followed the trail of hay to investigate. Great effort, everyone, well done!
